「I am as old as you.」という言い方もできますが、大体はこの言い方をします。
「same」という単語には必ず「the」が付きます。
たとえば
I'm the same.
（私も同じです）
We live in the same building.
（同じマンションに住んでいる）
I have the same bag.
（私も同じバッグを持っている）
We have the same taste in music.
