「自転車通勤する」は英語で「cycle to work」と言います。
受験英語では「go by bicycle」「go by car」「go on foot」のように教わりますけど、
ネイティブは違う言い方をします。
「go」に交通手段を「付け加える」のではなくて「go」の代わりに「置き換える」のです。
たとえば
go home
（帰る）
drive home
（車で帰る）
walk home
（歩いて帰る）
get a taxi home
（タクシーで帰る）
get the train home
（電車で帰る）
「go」の代わりに置き換えるのです。
たとえば
I got a taxi home.
（タクシーで帰った）
I had to walk home.
（歩いて帰らなきゃいけなかった）
I’m going to get the last train home.
（終電で帰るつもり）
「go to work（通勤する）」の「go」も同じように置き換えて：
I go to work.
（普段通勤しています）
I cycle to work.
（自転車で通勤しています）
I get the Mita line to work.
（三田線で通勤しています）
I wish I could walk to work.
（歩いて通勤できたらいいのにな）
