I had 5 days off.

「休みがある」は「have time off」と言いますが「I had time off for 5 days.」とは言わなくて、

「time」の代わりに「5 days」などを置き換えます。

漠然に「time」を使うか、具体的に「5 days」などを使うかどちらかです。

他にも

I had Monday off.
（月曜日は休みだった）

I had the afternoon off.
（午後は休みだった【半休】）

I have Monday off next week.
（来週の月曜日は休みだ）

I have the afternoon off tomorrow.
（明日は半休だ）
