I attached the file.

「添付する」は「attach」という動詞を使います。

ちなみに「添付ファイル」は「attached file」もしくは「attachment」と言います。

たとえば

「I couldn’t open the attachment.（添付ファイルが開けなかった）」

「See the attached file.（添付ファイルをご覧ください）」など。
